Wow. We did it! We showed up and we did it! As I sit in front of my television watching CNN coverage, I sit here with a deep sigh of relief. I am happy and I have a renewed sense of hope. I just want to remind you all that though we have scored a major victory on SO many levels, we are not done. There is still so much work to be done. For some, this was your first time voting. Some of you (in spite of taking on the belief that your vote doesn’t count) STILL SHOWED UP! No matter your story, I think it’s safe to say that we were all fighting BECAUSE our lives literally depended on it. In one way or another, we were all fighting for our lives and the lives of those we love. We were all fighting for peace in a place swelling with hate. We were all fighting for change. We were fighting for a leader who could facilitate this progression. BIDEN/HARRIS you’ve got the torch!!!
I am so proud of us!!! We did it! Did I say that already?
I truly hope that we all have a new belief in our democracy. A new belief in the importance of YOUR vote. Let’s continue to let our voices be heard ON ALL LEVELS. From the community to the White House!
We did it! Let’s continue to do it!
